It was admittedly a bit of a learning curve but it was one that I was more than happy to experience. A few mid-sized retailers were expressing interest in my line of wooden greeting cards and as a result I was required to get UPC codes for my cards.
Some retailers have quite extensive paper work requirements for new product lines and the process was excellent for my learning about the backend process that moves new retail products onto the shelves. In a way, I felt like the process was preparing me for greater things.
So, after some research, some trials and errors around printing, etc., I successfully purchased and printed 25 UPC codes for Poetic Art Wooden Greeting Cards!
The investment was definitely worth it – it in a way feels like the next level.
